Make the change
Please give generously. Your donation will be used to educate children and adults in estuary science, the value of clean water and the intricacies of our Padilla Bay ecology as well as things we can all do to help preserve its health and beauty.
Our Padilla Bay Foundation Fund is invested within the Skagit Community Foundation. It was established for the purpose of building a legacy funding mechanism from which the Padilla Bay Foundation could draw interest when and if special opportunities arise where extra capital would be useful and or necessary. We are adding to the fund and have not drawn any interest during its lifetime. By consulting the Skagit Community Foundation, you can find the myriad ways of planning a gift to the Padilla Bay Foundation Fund. When donating here online, 100% of any donation will go into the managed fund. Please visit www.skagitcf.org on the web, or phone 360-419-3181 to speak to representatives of the Skagit Community Foundation. Thank you!
The Foundation has been planning to help the Reserve expand its aquarium room exhibits to include a touch pool experience for several years. We have raised approximately $85,000 in order to help with design, professional prospectus and capital construction. We have contracted with TENJI, Inc. based in Pacific Grove, California as well as Damariscotta, Maine. With their help in translating our vision into a state of the art touch pool with ADA accessibility and a gradual height element that caters to the adult visitor as well as to the child explorer, we are hoping to create an unforgettable experience that enhances the memories of having visited Padilla Bay.
