Padilla Bay Foundation Late-Winter 2022 Newsletter
Spring is coming - the Reserve crocuses are blooming - a welcome site.
Even so, it is also a pretty place after a mid-winter snow!
First, a BIG thanks to all of you who contributed during our Giving Tuesday/Year End funding appeal. You reached our goal for funds that will keep the Foundation well able to support the Reserve in the coming months. Touch Pool amenities and seasonal education assistants are examples of upcoming needs.
Second, as more and more folks stop by the Reserve during open times, the gift and clothing area is getting a lot of attention. We recently added these attractive mugs to the stock - complete with what is becoming a very popular emblem of the Reserve. Come in and take a look and maybe get one.
The Foundation is upgrading materials used in displays - in preparation for again being able to attend events and provide information about our work and the Reserve - with the Anacortes Chamber of Commerce, for example.
If you have graphic design skills/experience and could help with this project, please let us know at the email address below.
Enjoy the Spring and stay safe.
The Padilla Bay Foundation’s mission is to provide supplemental funding to support the activities of the Padilla Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve. Grassroots involvement of our members is the core of the Foundation’s commitment to protecting our estuaries and supporting the Reserve. Members of the Foundation contribute directly to environmental education, stewardship and research at Washington State’s only National Estuarine Research Reserve – one of 29 in the nation. If not already, please consider becoming a member or making a donation to help support our work
